AccessibilityAtlas is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and accessibility within communities by establishing a platform that offers dependable information. With the aim of creating a more inclusive society, AccessibilityAtlas seeks to provide a centralized resource that individuals with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and the wider community can rely on to make informed decisions regarding places in their communities. The website began as a collaborative idea, but Dinu Antonescu has since taken full responsibility for its management.

AccessibilityAtlas was created as a follow-on community-based initiative of Youth Ambassadors, a U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs program implemented in partnership with World Learning. Participants gain knowledge on leadership, project management, social inclusion, and entrepreneurship.
